LGBT Collective.Administered by The Intercom Trust, the LGBT Collective is a facilitating body
that connects lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans communities from across the South West peninsula. The LGBT Collective is made up of LGBT community groups and projects, it operates on a real grass roots level and its owned and led by the LGBT communities themselves so voices get heard and actions get taken. The LGBT Collective aims to: Enable LGBT community networking. Strengthen the Peninsula's LGBT communities. Provide a safe space for LGBT people to identify, discuss and act upon issues affecting them. The LGBT Collective is open to LGBT groups and projects that are active in the South West Peninsula. The Intercom Trust.Intercom is a lesbian gay bisexual and trans community resource in Cornwall,
Devon, Dorset and Somerset, providing help against homophobic and transphobic prejudice, crime and discrimination (including bullying, harassment, abuse, attacks, and threatening behaviour), helping to develop the LGBT communities, providing professional training and consultancy, and working in partnership with local government, the police, health, etc. If you would like to know more about the Intercom Trust or need to get in touch with them, please click their logo on the right: |
Proud2Be.The Proud2Be project is a global community interest company founded in June 2011 by gay identical twin Brothers Mat and Jon Price.
Their aim is: To support and encourage all lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, questioning and intersex (LGBTQI) people to be proud of who they are. To help raise self esteem and self worth within the LGBTQI community. To be a part of a social and cultural change that makes it safe for LGBTQI people to live a proud and authentic life. To encourage and nurture individuality and diversity within the LGBTQI community. The Edward Carpenter Community.The ECC are a network of gay men committed to principles of caring, trusting, personal growth, sharing, and creativity. They aim to nurture ‘community’ as an alternative to the commercial gay scene. They are open to all men who identify as gay and they particularly encourage disabled, black, older and younger men to go along to their events, and to become a part of their community.

Stonewall.Stonewall was founded in 1989 by a small group of women and men who had been active in the struggle against Section 28 of the Local Government Act.
Stonewall is renowned for its campaigning and lobbying. Stonewall also works with a whole range of agencies to address the needs of lesbians, gay men and bisexuals in the wider community. More recently Stonewall has formed partnerships with organisations outside Parliament to ensure the rights and needs of lesbians, gay men and bisexuals are addressed in the wider community.
